Fine book for those of us who are interested in K-9 dog sports such as Schutzhund, KNVP, CKC or AKC tracking trials or search and rescue work. I find this book to be on par with others written by Dr. Dietmar Schellenberg, Gary Patterson or Max von Steffanitz. This is a great addition to your Tracking reference library, and is a valuable adjunct to Dr. Schellenberg's book TOP Working Dogs (tracking obedience and protection), and is a must for any Training Director or Handler.

I think it's a copy

Parts of this book were really hard to read, there were inserts in the book that I could barely see do to the fact that the letters were camouflaged by the background. I believe that this book is suppose to have color in it and when it was reprinted it was printed in black and white thats why it looks the way it does, not cool.

This is a really bad copy. Most of the book is legible but anything that previous had color is extremely difficult to make out. I believe this book is originally a hard cover. Look for those and avoid this paperback. It took me twice and long to read due to the color issue.

The pages are of poor quality and there are certain images that are incredibly hard to see. There is text that is typed on dark textured backgrounds making it very hard to study. It appears to be a bad photocopy job or something. Very bizarre and disappointing.

This beautiful edition is the ideal introduction to the work of Ann Radcliffe specifically and the Gothic tradition generally. The 1802 text faithfully relates the plot and characterization of 1794's The Mysteries of Udolpho in a far more reader friendly length. Jack G. Voller's introduction, as well as various appendices (including contemporary reviews and reactions, essays, comparisons of the two works, and Ann Radcliffe's own "On Supernatural in Poetry"), add tremendous value, making this a particularly useful volume for any interested reader, and a perfect text for use in the classroom, as well.
