About the Author
Katz earned her PhD in Astrophysics from University of Minnesota, one of the top PER programs in the country. She has effectively done so in a very traditional environment at the Naval Academy, where she is a tenured professor. She is an active researcher who regularly works with undergraduate students.

I have B.SC in physics, and i have many physics text books, this one with no doubt is the worse one, the author jump from one point to other point without clearing his points, it hard to get something out of this book because the materials presented are in unorganized way.

Awful, awful textbook.

It's a garbage book missing key formulas such as Hook's Law. If my university didn't require me to have it, I would've set it on fire already.
