With privilege comes Responsibility. Those not up to the Responsibility do not deserve the privilege. -Hadassadajah C. Akusani "The mother of James and John . . . brought them to Jesus and respectfully asked a favor. 'What is your request? he asked. She replied, 'In your kingdom, will you let my two sons sit on two thrones next to yours? 'But Jesus told her, 'You don't know what you are asking! Then he turned to James and John and asked them, 'Are you able to drink from the terrible cup I am about to drink from? 'Yes' they replied, 'we are able' 'You shall indeed drink from it, he told them. 'But I have no right to say who will sit on the thrones next to mine. These places are reserved for the persons my Father selects' . . . Jesus called the (other disciples) together and said, 'Among the heathen, kings are tyrants and each minor official lords it over those beneath him. But among you it is quite different. Anyone wanting to be a leader among you must be your servant. And if you want to be right at the top, you must serve like a slave. Your attitude must be like my own, for I, the Messiah, did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give my life as a ransom for many" -Matthew 20:20-28 Here in this scenario, the mother of these two disciples of Jesus was not content that they were among his chosen twelve apostles. She wanted them to be granted special privilege of being seated on thrones beside the heavenly king! While Jesus remarked that that privilege of selection belonged to his Father, he taught a valuable lesson here in humility and responsibility. In the scenario above, the other ten disciples felt that James and John-if it was indeed their desire (and not merely that of the mother) had quite a nerve desiring such positions of prominence. Jesus, in his response, showed that with privilege comes awesome responsibility, and if one is not up

From the Author
My words to the reader, this is "A touching story about overcominglife's obstacles andprevailing against the odds".I written this book not because I want to make money, but that someone's life can and will be CHANGED. No one knows like I no, how it feels to live as a man but trapped in a woman body for over 15 long years. My message is to bring HOPE to the one who feels hopeless.

Amazing account of survival and success despite hard core street and home life
By Valerie Caraotta
I have read memoirs in the past and this one is extremely "hard core" in the things Denise Jones witnessed and participated in both on the streets and within the home. It was hard to continue at points because of the severity of acts but I will inform you that there is hope at the end of this seemingly long dark tunnel. Just like the Word declares that weeping may last for a season but joy comes in the morning, Denise Jones would find her "morning" eventually in the Lord. God, in His loving mercy would send those her way that became instrumental in helping to peel the layers of her pain, replacing it with hope.
She now knows that the many times she should have been dead she was spared by the hand of God that loved her when she could not love herself. Indeed those forgiven much can turn around like the Apostle Paul and be great advocates for the hurting and witnesses for Christ. Though I could give you details of a child that birthed her, never raised her, and in turn led her to the streets where drugs, stealing and perverted sex abided, I will reserve that for you to discover. Instead, I boast of her courage to allow God and others to reach her hard heart and begin to turn her life around.
Denise now knows "DJ" is laid to rest and she is comfortable in her own shoes reaching out as a deliverance minister where she preaches in drug treatment facilities, jails, and homeless shelters. With it comes an anointing to penetrate the dark places in others lives. Just as God decided she would live and not die, Denise today not only loves to live, but lives life with open arms.
Her story will humble you in realizing no sin is too great that the arms of God cannot forgive. This book I say with surety, is more than a memoir but an exhortation for all to get up from the ashes of despair and realize it is never too late, as the title will imply. I am confident Denise Jones has found her second wind and is running now, not away from police or street trouble, but in the race of life determined to fulfill her destiny spoken over her when she laid in a coma as a child after being struck by a car. You too will agree that angels of protection and intervention were a big part of Denise's life.
If you need a boost in overcoming obstacles or know of others facing discouragement I suggest this book highly. From dropout to now a Ph.D pursuer-don't ever say in your life it can't be done. Excellently written with a captivating plot and continual drama, I rate this book as a 5 star winner as much as I do the author herself.

Who Said It Couldn't be done
By LoveBooks
If you haven't read this book, you must. It as an incredible story of one person's life as a child who truly grew up on the rough side of the tracks. Denise Jones, the author, outlines her life of crime, drugs, sex and a lesbian lifestyle to a life of absolute transformation. She explains her story in an ethical manner with amazing description and accuracy as she substantiates that she really was that bad! Just by the title, I wasn't sure what to expect, but from the reading it, it truly is a page turner. You must get this book and read it. I was inspired by her story. And she is a person with an amazing story about growing up in a terrible way to becoming a contributive member of society that achieves. An amazing story - I would recommend it to anyone to read. It is a very motivating book that anything can be accomplished if a person wants a change.

A Change Is Going To Come
By Teresa Beasley
It is rare to find a book that provides readers exactly what its synopsis says it will be. In Who Said It Couldn't Be Done by Denise Jones, readers are introduced to the story of a woman who fights to transform her life. Denise was raised in Chicago to a mother who allowed her child to witness things no young child should ever know about.
Denise becomes a product of her environment by following the footsteps of her mother. She knows poverty, drugs, incarceration, and even lesbianism because she lived it. One day Denise encounters the Word of God and her life starts to change. Denise turns everything over to Him and realizes that through Him she can overcome anything. God becomes her strength.
Who Said It Couldn't Be Done is a remarkable story of a woman struggling with her identity, sexuality, and learning to overcome her strongholds. The author gives true account of her life with no holds barred. The story is powerful, heartbreaking, and educational. It will help readers understand that there is always someone else that has it harder than they do. Denise's story will teach others to not complain and to believe that a change is going to come. I recommend this story to those who are looking for a second chance at life.
